Volunteer Position Descriptions
Shuttle Drivers/Hosts: for the week of advanced polls and especially on election day, we need ten drivers to help people reach the polls. These people should have mini-vans, or sedan cars, to allow for easy entry by people with reduced mobility;
Shuttle Coordinator: we will need someone to organize pick-ups, phone and email requests for this service, again, starting the week of advanced polls;
Canvassers: people who enjoy walking their own neighbourhoods to come out when Tish is in their respective neighbourhood and help him reach more people;
Community BBQ people: in the late summer and autumn, we will be hosting a series of community BBQs, one in each community - free and of good-quality - to provide people a chance to meet Tish and his campaign crew on an informal, open setting. We will need approximately ten people per event, preferably from each respective community. Specific dates to come, but these will be held on weekday evenings;
Canvassers for BBQ events: prior to the BBQs, we will be having a community blitz, where we tell everyone about these events. We will need people on Saturday and Sunday to help deliver flyers, and post notices in apartment buildings;
Solicitors: we need a few people to help arrange meetings with Seniors' residences, societies, and different groups in Ward 6. We also need a few people to contact various businesses in the ward to promote Tish as a partner in their business growth and development.
